| The AS-3900A/VRC Antenna is the newest U.S. Army Vehicular Antenna System designed to perform with the SINCGARS Radio System. The antenna is a center-fed antenna which can withstand the application of 20,000 VRMS to its upper section and 10,000 VRMS to its center section without adverse effect to the antenna or the radio. The antenna is produced to U.S. Army CECOM Specification A3148018 and has successfully shown Nuclear Survivability. The antenna has also been used for back-up communications systems for ground-based installations which are also mobile such as SAM batteries like the Patriot. R.A. Miller is the initial producer of the AS-3900A/VRC as the prime sub-contractor to ITT Aerospace, Communications Division, the original SINCGARS prime contractor. |
