The AS-2259/GR antenna is constructed from an aluminum tube mast and a long wire type antenna. When fully erected it stands just under 14 feet tall. It is designed to be mounted on top of a radio, but with a special adapter may be mounted on a vehicle. It is designed to replace a whip antenna when terrain makes surface wave propagation impossible.
