The AS-3448/PSQ-4 antenna is designed for use with the Position Location Reporting System (PLRS) Receiver/Transmitter RT-1343/TSQ-129. The antenna provides the function of the AS-3449/VSQ-1 for individual use. The antenna is produced to meet all the requirements of the U.S. Army CECOM Specification A3005026. This includes a Mean Time Between Failure of more than 100,000 hours and capability of operation in 55 knot winds with gusts to 85 knots.
